Connecting Financial Education to the Consumer: Symposium for Financial Institutions and Educators

Louisa Quittman is the Director of Community Programs for the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Her current portfolio includes managing the Community Financial Access Pilot to expand financial access and financial education for low- and moderate-income Americans in communities across the country. Ms. Quittman coordinated the Regional Conferences on Reaching Unbanked People for the interagency Financial Literacy and Education Commission. Additionally, Ms. Quittman serves as the Director of the U.S. Community Adjustment and Investment Program, which provides capital to small businesses that create and retain jobs in communities adversely affected by NAFTA. Previously, Ms. Quittman was Program Manager at the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund, and served a total of nearly nine years in various positions at the CDFI Fund. Ms. Quittman is a former Presidential Management Intern and holds a Masters degree in Public Administration from North Carolina State University and a B.A. from Williams College.
